SongMint ("we", "our", "app", or "service") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the SongMint mobile application ("App").

By accepting this policy, you agree to its terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Device Information

The app collects the following device information:

  • Device ID (Device UUID): Your device's unique identifier is collected for subscription management, free trial limit tracking, and fraud prevention.
  • Platform Information: Operating system type (iOS)
  • App Version: Application version information
  • Device Type: Device model and iOS version

2.2. Account and Authentication Information

The app uses Firebase Authentication for account management:

  • Anonymous Authentication: Anonymous authentication data is collected when you create an account
  • Email Address (Optional): You may optionally provide an email address
  • User ID: Unique user identifier created by Firebase

Important: Providing an email address is not required. You can use the app with anonymous authentication.

2.3. Subscription and Payment Information

The app uses Adapty SDK for premium subscription management. Through Adapty:

  • Your subscription status (active/inactive)
  • Subscription type (monthly, yearly, or lifetime)
  • Trial period information
  • Subscription expiration date
  • Purchased product ID
  • Credit pack purchase information

Important: Payment transactions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card or bank information.

2.4. Content You Create

The app collects content you create:

  • Song Information: Song titles, genre preferences, creation dates
  • Prompts: Song creation requests and preferences you send to AI
  • Lyrics: Lyrics you write yourself or generated by AI
  • Sharing Preferences: Whether your songs are public or private
  • Favorites: Your favorite songs
  • Credit Usage: Credit balance and usage history

2.5. Locally Stored Data

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Cache Data: Song information cached on your device using SwiftData
  • User Preferences: App settings and preferences
  • Temporary Data: Data temporarily stored for app performance

Important: This data is stored only on your device and is automatically deleted when the app is uninstalled.

2.6. Information We Do Not Collect

The app DOES NOT COLLECT the following information:

  • Sensitive location information (GPS coordinates)
  • Contact list
  • Photos or media files (except album cover generation)
  • Browsing history or other app data
  • Personal identification information (name, phone number - email is optional)

3. Data Usage

3.1. Data Usage Purposes

Collected data is used for the following purposes:

  • Service Provision: AI-powered music and lyrics generation
  • Subscription Management: Control active/inactive status of premium features
  • Usage Limits: Track free usage limits (device-based)
  • Data Synchronization: Sync your songs across devices

  • Public Content: If you choose to make your songs public, the following information may be visible to other users:
    • Song title
    • Genre
    • Album cover image
    • Audio file
    • Lyrics (if included)
    • Creation date
    • Your nickname (if you set one)

Important: Your data is not sold to third parties or used for marketing purposes. Private songs are only visible to you and are not shared with other users.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1. Data Storage

  • User Data: Stored in Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud infrastructure)
  • Audio Files: Stored in Cloudflare R2 Storage
  • Local Data: Some data is cached locally on your device using SwiftData
  • API Keys: Securely stored using iOS Keychain

4.2. Security Measures

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure API key storage (iOS Keychain)
  • Firebase security rules to protect user data
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Device ID is used only for subscription management and fraud prevention

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4.3. Data Retention Period

  • User data is stored as long as your account is active
  • When you delete your account or request data deletion, your data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days
  • Except where retention is required by law
  • Subscription information in Adapty is stored for the duration of the subscription and as required by legal obligations
  • Audio files in Cloudflare R2 Storage are stored until the song is deleted

5. Third-Party Services

5.1. Firebase (Google)

The app uses Firebase for authentication and data storage. Firebase:

  • Collects your user authentication data
  • Stores your song information in Firestore
  • Provides cross-device synchronization

5.6. Apple App Store

Payment transactions are processed through Apple's payment system. Your payment information is processed by Apple.

6. User Rights

6.1. Access to Your Data

You can access all your data through the app:

  • View and edit your profile
  • View, edit, or delete your songs
  • Change your sharing preferences (public/private)
  • View your subscription status

6.2. Data Deletion

You can delete your data in the following ways:

  • Delete songs directly in the app
  • Delete your account (all your data will be deleted)
  • Contact us to request data deletion

Note: Some data may be retained for legal or operational purposes.

6.3. Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription through Apple App Store settings. After cancellation, your access to premium features will end.

6.4. Sharing Control

You can keep all your songs private by not enabling public sharing. Private songs are only visible to you.

6.5. GDPR and CCPA Rights

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data

7. Children's Privacy

SongMint does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Our app is not intended for children under 13.

8. AI-Generated Content Responsibility

Important Warning: SongMint uses AI services (Google Gemini, Kie.ai) to generate music and lyrics. Content generated by these services may not always be accurate, appropriate, or error-free.

SongMint is not responsible for content generated by third-party AI services. Users are responsible for reviewing and ensuring the appropriateness of generated content before sharing.

Generated content must respect copyright. Users are responsible for ensuring that the songs they create are legal and respect copyright.

9. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will send a notification in the app or update this page.
